Stores Operative - Must have a Forklift licence.  Our nationwide client is seeking a reliable and committed Stores Operative to join their busy depot team, in the Canning town area. This role is essential to the smooth running of a large warehouse that supports numerous mobile maintenance teams. The position is day-based, Monday to Friday, from 7am to 3pm. The hourly pay rate is £13.85 PAYE plus holiday pay. Duration – long term role, possibility to go permanent. Start date – Looking for someone to start ASAP. Valid forklift licence is essential. Please note -  Must be able to travel to Canning town for 7am start. Key duties include: Unloading and recording inbound deliveries Updating stock control systems Receiving and collating equipment requests from the service team Operating forklifts Performing general warehousing tasks Skills Basic IT skills for updating in-house tracking systems Previous experience in stores or warehouse environments (essential) Physically fit to handle lifting parcels, with equipment available to assist Good customer service skills Reliability and commitment Forklift licence (preference for counterbalance forklift experience) Attention to detail Ability to work well within a team Good communication skills Time management and organisational skills Candidate must live within 1 hour commute, to the Canning town area. Certifications & Standards Valid forklift licence (counterbalance preferred) Willingness to participate in pre-employment drug and alcohol testing and medical examination
